Call for Proposals – NM centenary and sesquicentennial of the Morrill Act

Posted by Greg Fant | Published August 25, 2011

In 2012, New Mexico will celebrate its centenary of statehood and NMSU will celebrate the sesquicentennial of the Morrill Act which created land grant colleges. To help commemorate these anniversaries, the NMSU Statehood Centennial Committee is accepting proposals for projects from faculty, students, and staff. While Provost Wilkins and the NMSU Statehood Centennial Committee will consider requests for funding along with the proposals, such support will be limited.

If you have a project that you would like to do to celebrate either New Mexico’s statehood or the Morrill Act, please fill out the proposal form and send it to Jon Hunner, History Dept., jhunner@nmsu.edu. The first deadline is October 1.
