December update
Update 12/16/11: The BTV Committee wishes to once again thank the University for providing their commentary on the draft strategic plan. We appreciate the insightful and constructive comments received on the website as well as from other various stakeholders. This feedback will be used in our continued efforts to provide a comprehensive academic plan for the Las Cruces campus.
In particular, the issue of sustainability has been incorporated into the action plans of several goals. We also acknowledge that a greater focus should be placed on research and the effort to do so is ongoing. Some suggestions were more appropriate for college or division level strategic plans rather than the institutional level academic affairs plan for the Las Cruces campus and will be forwarded to relevant parties.
The following Building the Vision draft plan reflects significant changes to ensure consistency of detail across the seven goals and increased focus on key performance indicators. The BTV committee plans to complete its work early in the new year, taking opportunities to obtain additional feedback from university constituents.
