Dr. Jennifer Hodges is Director of Advising and Retention in the College of Arts and Sciences and Interim Director of the Center for Academic Advising and Student Support at NMSU. She earned her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2007 and is also a graduate of Texas A&M University and Ball State University. Jennifer began her career at NMSU in June of 2014. She is currently the Chair of the Academic Advising Council and is one of the Leads in implementing CRM Advise Predictive Analytics. She is also a member of the Board of Regents Student Success Committee and the Student Life Committee.
Prior to joining NMSU, Jennifer was Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the University of North Texas and Assistant Dean of University College at the University of Akron. She has also served as Director of Undergraduate Programs in Business at Akron and worked in Academic Advising at Michigan State University and Northern Kentucky University. Jennifer is an active member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), an invited speaker and consultant on best practices in advising, and she has presented at local, regional, and national conferences.
