Re:         SAVE the DATE – External Review Team to provide feedback on Diversity initiatives

I am pleased to announce that NMSU has invited an external review team to visit campus and provide feedback on our diversity efforts in anticipation of establishing a Chief Diversity Officer position. This three member team will be on campus Monday November 18th and Tuesday November 19th. There will be various open forums for students, faculty, and staff as well as meetings with specific campus groups. The team is led by Dr. Archie Ervin, vice president and chief diversity office at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also President of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE). The team includes Dr. Paulette Granberry Russell, senior diversity officer for Michigan State University and Dr. “Jozi” De Leon, the inaugural vice president for diversity and inclusion at California Polytechnic State University. More details will be announced as their visit schedule is finalized. For more information contact Greg Fant at gfant@nmsu.edu
