RE: International Programs and Compliance (IPC) office

We are please to announce the establishment of a new International Programs and Compliance (IPC) office at NMSU.

This new office is being created to better serve the evolving needs of our international students, and the faculty, staff, and scholars engaged in global experiences. The IPC office will consolidate and expand the services currently provided by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and Education Abroad.

In addition to the existing support for international students and global mobility, the IPC office will offer enhanced services, including:

  • Issuance of all I-20 documents
  • Oversight of export control compliance
  • Coordination of international health insurance requirements
  • Support for international cultural activities
  • Assistance for faculty and staff seeking international scholarship and engagement opportunities

We are in the process of hiring a Director to lead the IPC office and will be transitioning some existing staff into new roles while also welcoming new team members to support our expanded services.

During this transition, please continue to work with ISSS and Education Abroad as you normally would. We look forward to sharing more updates in the coming months and appreciate your support and collaboration as we move forward with this important initiative.

R.T. James McAteer
Deputy Provost
