Data Tools: How are we doing?
Data Visualization Narrative:
Data Tools Workshops present opportunities to learn about NMSU’s enterprise-level data systems. They support Aggie Insights and data modernization in partnership between Information Technology and the Office of the Provost. Each workshop targets training on a specific data tool or tools, or a specific audience The data visualization outlines the attendance and feedback from attendees at the Data Tools Workshops.
Attendance: A total of 19 workshops have been hosted with an average of 32 attendees per workshop. There have been a total of 606 attendees across all workshops with 212 attending in-person and 394 online. The "Workshop Information" table breaks down the tool, topic, date, in-person attendees, and online attendees. The Attendance by Tool graph outlines that the most attendees have come from workshops focusing on various tools, while the second highest attended workshop focused on Navigate360. The Attendance by Role graph indicates that Program Directors/Coordinators/Specialists are the role that most attends, with College Advisor/Faculty Advisor being the second most.
Feedback: After each workshop, a feedback form is distributed to the attendees. Feedback was not collected until the NMSU Analytics workshop that was held on 4/26/2024 and the question "Would you recommend this workshop to others?" was not included until the 10/25/2024 Department Head Data tools workshop. A total of 148 surveys have been collected over 16 workshops. The "Workshop Information (after survey implementation)" table outlines the tool, topic, date, number of attendees, number of surveys completed, and the conversion completed. A majority of the responses indicated that the tool covered will help guide students and that they found the workshop to helpful. A majority also indicated that they would recommend the workshop to others. The most requested data tools include NMSU Analytics, Slate, Navigate360, Banner, and many others.
