Data Tools Workshops

Workshops are typically held on the second and fourth Friday of each month, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, or as indicated in the schedule below.

Location: Hardman Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center Room 206

NMSU has enterprise level data tools that can help faculty, staff, and administrators understand students and their progress as they work toward their educational goals. Each monthly session will cover a specific topic from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The hour from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm will be an open lab for individuals with questions about the data tools.

These sessions will be especially helpful for:

  • Understanding student progress.
  • Providing insights into current and future students.
  • Examining graduate outcomes.

Directions for New Users

Access the featured software is recommended but not required these sessions. Participants can request access at ssar.nmsu.edu (See also detailed instructions for Navigate Access).

IntelliBoard

  • For Faculty: 

    • Interpret IntelliBoard Reports: Utilize the platform's At-Risk Report and Last Activity Report to identify students who are struggling or disengaged. 
    • Provide Timely Intervention: Analyze IntelliBoard data to trigger timely and effective support for at-risk students. 
    • Support Student Success: Track learner progress in IntelliBoard to support overall student retention. 

    For Administrators: 

    • Assess Program and Instructor Effectiveness: Utilized IntelliBoard data to evaluate academic programs and measure instructor effectiveness. 
    • Refine Intervention Strategies: Leverage the platform's insights to refine intervention strategies and ensure consistency across departments.
